Authentic Eastern Dance in East Anglia

Spirit of the East is a Colchester-based dance group that was established in 2000.

In 2007 there are now 5 members who dance regulary each with their own unique styles. Classes are also held all over the local area for those who also want to try it for themselves.

Like many other groups around the globe we have embraced this ancient culture and aim to retain the music, traditional movements whilst incorporating contemporary aspects to make the dance accessible to everyone.

Spirit of the East Dance Company offers a fresh approach to authentic Egyptian dance for everyone to experience and enjoy. You can learn from 16 to 70, and all levels of fitness can be catered for.
